ABC Transport projects profit after tax of N30.08 million in Q4 2021.

ABC Transport Plc released its earnings forecasts for the fourth quarter ending 31st of December, 2021.

  • Revenue is expected to hit N1.17 billon.
  • Cost of sales is projected at N839.4 million.
  • Marketing, distribution and administrative expenses projections of N288 million.
  • Tax is projected at N20.05 million.
  • Profit after tax is projected at N30.08 million.

ABC Transport to hold AGM on September 17th.

The Board of ABC Transport Plc has announced that it will be hosting its 28th Annual General Meeting on the 17th of September, 2021.

According to a disclosure signed by the company’s secretary, Onyekachukwu Chigbo, the AGM will hold at Mayfair Suites and Conference Centre, Owerri-Imo State, on the aforementioned date and by 11:00am prompt.

The following issues will be addressed at the AGM;

  • The audited financial statement for the year ended December 31, 2020, and the report of its Directors, auditor, and the audit committee.
  • Board appointments will also be considered and ratified.
  • To fix remuneration of managers and Directors in FY 2021.
  • To elect shareholders’ representatives of the statutory audit committee.

What you should know:

  • ABC Transport Plc had earlier reported a loss of N73.08 million in the first quarter of the year (Q1, 2021).
  • In line with CAC guidelines, attendance at the AGM will be by proxy. Sequel to this, a list comprising of six (6) representatives authorized to represent shareholders, have been made available.

ABC Transport MD/CEO purchases additional 2.38 million shares.

The Managing Director/CEO of ABC Transport Plc, Mr. Frank Uzor Nneji has acquired additional 2,375,902 units of ABC Transport Plc shares.

In line with The Exchange’s policy on insider dealing, the formal disclosure was made by the Firm’s Secretary, Onyekachukwu Chigbo.

According to the notice, Mr. Nneji acquired the additional 2.38 million units of the firm’s shares at an average share price of ₦0.37 per share. This put the total consideration for the shares purchased by the Managing Director at ₦879,046.74. In addition, it is pertinent to note that the deal took place in thirty-four (34) tranches between 3rd of June-2nd of July, 2021.

It is imperative to note that the disclosure is in line with the rule 17.15(C) of The Exchange, which demands that all dealings by insiders of listed companies be reported by the management. This is aimed towards ensuring transparency in the system and maintaining stakeholders’ confidence in the financial system.

ABC Transport closed trading today 7th of July, 2021 at ₦0.34 per share.

ABC Transport Plc released its unaudited results for the first quarter of the year (Q1, 2021).
• Revenue for the period was N1.35 billion. (-40.2% YoY)
• Cost of sales was N1.08 billion. (-44.6% YoY)
• Administrative expenses totalled N315.7 million. (-5.9% YoY)
• Loss from continuing operations was N73.08 million.
• Loss per share of -4 kobo Vs -8 kobo YoY
