Africa Prudential Plc released its interim results for the nine months period ended 30th of September, 2021.

  • Gross revenue during the period stood at N2.45 billion. (-7.04% YoY)
  • Personnel expenses totalled N454.5 million. (-2.2% YoY)
  • Deposits from customers totalled N7.55 billion. (-12.6% YtD)
  • Total assets during the period stood at N17.03 billion.
  • Profit after tax of N1.15 billion. (-18.3% YoY)
  • Earnings per share of 58 kobo Vs 71 kobo YoY.

Africa Prudential appoints Anu Akindolire as acting CFO, as Mr Olufemi Adenuga resigns.

The Board of Directors of Africa Prudential Plc has appointed Mr. Anu Akindolire as the new Acting Chief Financial Officer of the Company, following the resignation of Mr. Olufemi Adenuga from the position.

This disclosure was made in a statement signed by the company’s secretary, Joseph Jibunoh, and sent to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).

According to the disclosure, following the resignation of Mr. Adenuga with effect from September 30, 2021, and pending the appointment of a substantive Chief Finance Officer, Mr Anu Akindolire will assume the role in an acting capacity.

Corroborating this, the recent statement issued by the firm partly reads: ‘ We write to formally notify the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) of the resignation of the Chief Finance Officer of Africa Prudential Plc, Mr. Olufemi Adenuga with effect from September 30, 2021.

‘’Pending the appointment of a Chief Finance Officer, Mr. Anu Akindolire will assume the role in an acting capacity.’’

His professional skills extend to financial and corporate reporting, treasury management and budgeting. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR), Institute of Chartered Management Accountants Australia; a certified Portfolio Management Professional from the New York Institute of Finance and is currently undergoing the Finance Leadership Program at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.

Africa Prudential’s profit after tax plunges by 24% to N827.6 million in H1 2021.

Africa Prudential Plc released its unaudited financial statements for the period ended 30th of June, 2021.

  • Gross earnings for the period was N1.67 billion. (-11% YoY)
  • Personnel expenses totalled N287.6 million. (-10% YoY)
  • Total customers’ deposits for the period was N80.3 billion
  • Profit after tax for the period was N827.6 million. (-24% YoY)
  • Earnings per share of 41 kobo Vs 54 kobo YoY.
  • Total shareholders fund stood at N8.16 billion.

Africa Prudential Plc released its unaudited results for the first quarter of the year (Q1, 2021).

  • Gross earnings for the period was N825.6 million (+11.1% YoY)
  • Personnel expenses totalled N128.65 million (-18.6% YoY)
  • Customers’ deposits increased to N22.5 billion.
  • Profit after tax was N381.35 million. (+11.6% YoY)
  • Earnings per share of 19 kobo Vs 17 kobo YoY.

Africa Prudential Plc announces Board meeting.

Africa Prudential Plc has notified stakeholders and the investing public of its imminent Board of Directors meeting, scheduled on April 22, 2021.

This is according to a disclosure signed by the Company’s secretary, Joseph Jibunoh and sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

The meeting is scheduled to consider among other things, the unaudited financial statements of the company for the quarter ended 31st of March, 2021 (Q1, 2021). Sequel to this, the company will be observing a close period from 6th of April, 2021 until 24 hours after the unaudited financial statements have been filled with The Exchange.
